Bachi on the Horn (E01) - Pilot

Mike Penny and I have started our very first official shamisen podcast called Bachi on the Horn!

After working through some technical difficulties, we talk about recent news in their shamisen careers, briefly touch on bachi grips, being comfortable to perform with sub-par gear, and later on a discussion about composition. To be continued in E02!

In future podcasts, I will take note of topics, artists or songs (etc) which are mentioned in the podcast and provide links to these blog posts. It will only get better!

Have any topic suggestions for future podcast episodes? Please write in the comments below! Mike and I are eager to address your questions!

Recently, Bachido member Sid took a trip to Japan to chillax and visit his friend Jack Matsumoto (who will be joining us in Team Bachido!). Not wanting to exclude the rest of us, he had the kindness to film some of his adventures there, including a great Raga/Shamisen fusion! Watch.
