Bachido Chats: Alcvin Ryuzen Ramos

Earlier this year, I met up with Alcvin Ryuzen Ramos - A master shakuhachi player who started taking on the shamisen with great dedication and passion!

We sat down and chatted about how he got started in the hougaku (traditional Japanese music) world. He then graciously joined us in my shamisen group lesson, and later on came to BachidoHQ, where we dabbled in a bit of throat singing!

Great to finally meet you, Alcvin! (And again a few months later!) Looking forward to jamming with you again soon!

After a great concert with Sacramento Taiko Dan, I had the pleasure of rocking the studio with Aki Takahashi of Ten Ten Canada, creating the first Bachido + Ten Ten Canada Superalbum! (working title) Unfortunately, the ongoing cold knocked our voices out a bit, but didn't stop us from recording scratch tracks (the initial base melody track for assembling instrument/vocal tracks on).
