Special Attachments: No-Slip Itomaki
The “No-Slip Itomaki” attachment is made by Tokyo Wagakki. This attachment consists of gold discs with threaded screws. When installing, the maker begins by carefully drilling holes into the ends of the itomaki. Then, the threaded screw of the attachment is twisted into the new end-hole of the itomaki. With the threaded screw secured in the itomaki and the gold disc pressed against the zagane (gold fittings), the attachment prevents the itomaki from slipping out.
