The Dou is skinned with brand-new durable Hibiki synthetic skin, with your choice of black or white skin, providing consistent tension and resonant sound ideal for both practice and performance.
Since this is a Gidayu Shamisen, it will be skinned with the lower Gidayu tension technique for the traditional sound, and will feature the notches at the side of the skin.
The thick neck (Futozao) profile, with superior Ippon-Mizo joints, caters to a range of traditional playing techniques and genres.
