Building a shamisen yourself, or want to try adding some bling to your current shamisen? You’re in the right place! Currently, Bachido is the only online store to sell professional shamisen parts (like azuma sawari, for example), which are used in all high quality shamisen.
Note: If you have tools, all of this hardware can be made yourself with the instructions in Shamisen of Japan. However, for a small and important piece like the Azuma Sawari, you may find ease of mind of knowing the piece won’t fail is worth the price of professionaly hardware.

Made in Japan by Tokyo Wagakki, we've got three beautiful…Made in Japan by Tokyo Wagakki, we've got three beautiful styles of ebony itomaki: Mentori (trimmed edges), Soragara (star shape), Soragara Mentori (star shape with trimmed edges). These itomaki are intended for tsugaru shamisen. Theoretically they could be fitted in smaller shamisen (nagauta, jiuta, etc), but those shamisen have smaller tenjin, and thus the itomaki would be more difficult to use, and so it's not recommended.

Although it's not shown in the pictures, the pegs of all itomaki have a metal core for added strength. These itomaki are intended for tsugaru shamisen.
